FAQ

01What is architectural visualization?

Architectural visualization turns plans or a 3D model into photorealistic films and images of a building before it exists. TGW Studios creates exterior and interior animations, renderings and interactive apartment finders for real estate projects worldwide.

02What's the difference between a rendering and an architectural animation?

A rendering is a single still image. An animation is a film that moves through and around the building, with music and a cut. Most launches use both.

03Can you visualize a project that isn't built yet?

Yes, that's what most projects are. Plans are enough to create films and images for pre-sales, financing and planning.

04How much does architectural visualization cost?

The price is set by scope: how many areas we show, how large and complex each one is, the runtime and the add-ons you choose. Projects start at €1,500, and the final price follows your brief.

05What do you need from us to start?

We need a 3D model or floor plans, your design references, the areas and views you want shown, and your brand guide if there is one. With that, we plan the shots and start the first stage.

06Do we need a 3D model?

No. A 3D model speeds things up, but floor plans are enough, and we build the model from them.

07What if we only have plans?

Plans are enough: we model the building from them, and the modeling is added to the scope and the schedule. Floor plans, sections and elevations give us what we need, and photos or sketches of the details help.

08What if the design is not final yet?

That works too: we present curated design directions for the open areas, you choose one, and we build it. It is a directed choice between clear options, which keeps the project moving.

09How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope, and we set the schedule together at the start, based on your deadline and how quickly feedback can come back from your side. Modeling from plans or open design questions add time, and you know how much before the work begins.

10How does feedback work?

Feedback happens inside each of the four stages, and each stage is approved before the next one begins. Camera, look and cut are settled in that order, so nothing you approved is thrown away later. Reopening an approved stage is possible and counts as new scope.

11What do we receive?

You receive the finished film and the still images in the resolutions and formats your channels need. Working project files stay with the studio.

12Can we get still renderings as well?

Yes, still images are composed from the scenes we build for the film, so they match it exactly. Extra images can be added at any stage.

13Can we get vertical versions for social media?

Yes, as an add-on: three vertical and square cuts from the main film, framed for social feeds rather than simply cropped.

14What is an interactive apartment finder?

A 3D building in the browser where buyers pick a floor and unit, see floor plans, interiors and availability, and send a request. It works on laptop, tablet and phone, in your branding.

15What is a real-time interactive walkthrough?

A real-time version of your project that people explore themselves, moving freely through rooms and around the building on a laptop, tablet or large screen. TGW Studios rebuilds the scene in a real-time engine and delivers it as a link that runs in the browser or on a tablet. It looks different from the cinematic film, and we show you the difference before you decide.

16Do you work internationally, and in which languages?

Yes, we work with clients in any country, in English and German. Files, reviews and approvals all run online.
